“What's In A (Dog) Name?
The name you choose says as much about you as it does about your dog. For example, you might name your dog after a food you love to eat (Hot Dog, Chow Mein, Noodles) or a beer you love to drink (Bud, Heineken, Colt) or a car (Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar) or make a fashion statement (Gucci, Channel, Tommy H.).
On the other side, if you were called a nickname that you were not particularly fond of (“Shorty,” “Toothpick,” “Fatso” and couldn't stand it, then why would you ever want to put your dog through the agony of an insulting, embarrassing name?
I mean, do you really want to be yelling, “Hey Fasto, come here!” in a public park. Someone just might take it the wrong way. Then you'll have to explain that you were talking to your dog.
With so many great dog names to choose from, we suggest that you pick a “positive” fun name that you will enjoy saying (and your dog will enjoy hearing) for years and years to come.
