You can really have FUN coming up with male dog names based on his coat color, personality or breed origin. That's that's just the beginning.

Here are some ideas for naming male dogs:

  • How about a human name like Boris
  • A cartoon character like Bart (Simpson)
  • A famous athlete Nash (Steve) or Dr. J.
  • After a state like Wyoming or just simply Tex
  • If your dog is really smart, you could name him Harvard
  • Maybe your favorite beverage like Coffee or Bud
  • Military names like Gunner, Ace, Bullet, Grunt, Hawk, Major, Rocket, Tank or Soldier might be the perfect match for your dog's breed
  • Maybe a historical name like Caesar

Some great Yiddish names include: Badchen (a jester), Bagel(a round bread); Bubu (mistake); Chutzpeh (brazenness/gall); Foyget (a smart guy); Gelt (money); Kemfer (fighter); Lox (smoked salmon); Meyvin (an expert) or Mazel Tov (good luck / congratulations).

A European name such as Bruno, Giuseppe, Guido, Hans, Igor, or Sergio might be a perfect fit.
